Skal is enforcing stricter requirements for organic products, according to the latest report from the Regulatory Pressure Review Board. These rules can particularly hit small shops hard, resulting in enormous costs.

Skal Biocontrole is the authority that certifies organic products in the Netherlands. Through annual inspections, they ensure the integrity of the organic sector, under the direction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature, and Food Quality.
A Skal certificate is no small feat. It means that every aspect of our production process, from the farms in Ecuador to the extreme 100% plant-based energy drink we all know as Nightwatch, meets the highest organic standards. All of our suppliers, and even their suppliers, must also be certified. This guarantees that our product is 100% organic, as it should be.
